How To Edit Limit Reservable Bandwidth
We all of us have microsoft OS(Operating System) and we all are happy with it. But when we talk about Internet on this OS, We are not happy as microsoft reserves 20% of our internet bandwidth for his purpose like windows update, license renewal, etc.
We need to edit Limit Reservable Bandwidth because as we install microsoft operating system ie Win Xp/Win Vista/Win 7 in our computers.By default it reserves 20% of bandwidth and it may result in slow down of internet.
Steps To Edit Limit Reservable Bandwidth :-
Follow These Steps to Edit Limit Reservable Bandwidth successfully without getting any error :-
Click “Start” button and then open “Run” and type ‘ gpedit.msc ‘ – with out any quotes.
This will opens the group policy editor.
Then we have to go to : –> Local Computer Policy –> Computer Configuration –> Administrative Templates –> Network –> QOS Packet Scheduler –> Limit Reservable Bandwidth.
Double the click on the Limit Reservable bandwidth option.
It will say that it is not configured, but the truth is under the ‘Explain’ tab that is By default – the Packet Scheduler limits is set to 20% of the bandwidth of a connection in the system, but you can use these settings to overwrite the default value. So click the “ENABLE reserved bandwidth” to enable and then set the value to 0 (zero) to make job work properly.This will allow the operating system to unreserved the reserve bandwidth.,.
If you successfully edit Limit Reservable Bandwidth Then, As a result, you will get “increase internet speed” by 20%
This hack perfectly works with Win 2000, Win XP, Win Vista, Win 7.
